I'm a firm believer in that Christmas Eve should be for doing absolutely nada. If you've had to work today, especially in retail, I'm truly sorry. I was one of the lucky ones. My afternoon was spent watching Christmas films and resisting temptation from the kitchen - my mum has been cooking up a storm.
Kishi Bashi // It's Christmas, But It's Not White Here In Our Town
I was happily perusing Spotify and 8tracks for alternative Christmas music over the last fortnight when I found this track. Beautifully woozy, and ridiculously relevant - I'm extremely unimpressed by the lack of snow round here.
I hope you have a lovely Christmas - I'm planning on being in a food coma by this time tomorrow!
You definitely need two free hands to have a successful Christmas shopping day. Two pointy elbows are helpful too! That's where this baby comes in: the Zara city bags have proved popular over the blogging world throughout the year but it's only recently that I've joined the pack. I've always liked Zara's offerings when it comes to handbags, so it was my first port of call when I needed to replace mine. I originally wanted the larger, black city bag, but after realising that it was much bigger than I needed, I turned my attention to this mini berry beaut. Three sections of the bag mean that there's more than enough room for all the junk that I insist on carrying around, with the zippy compartment providing a more secure place for my wallet as the side pockets are a little open. The long strap has meant that this has accompanied me on several Christmas shopping trips, I get a little carried away when the shops are busy!
'Budapest' makes for such chilled easy listening - I can't get enough of George Ezra's lovely voice. I'm definitely going to try and catch him at King Tut's in February, as one of the acts on the BBC's Sound of 2014 longlist, he sure seems to be one to keep an eye on.
On another note, Happy December 1st - I hope your advent calender was demolished as quickly as mine was.
